Drawing on her own upbringing, Julie Tay takes you hands on into the typical S.E. Asian kitchen to explore the use of a range of spices & sauces as used in what is called Nonya, Baba or Peranakan Cuisine-a tradition based on the intermingling of Chinese and Polynesians in Indonesia, Malaysia & Singapore. Emphasis is on techniques & ingredients rather than set recipes so that you come away with the ability to make up your own dishes in the S.E. Asian Way.
